GTB Appoints Beau Smith as Global President; Modernizes Agency’s Precision Retail Offering
GTB, a leading precision retail marketing agency, announced Beau Smith as its next global president, succeeding David Murphy, who is retiring after a 40-year storied career.
Smith sees modernizing end-to-end marketing and collaborating with dealers as keys to continued success and for delivering brand experiences that influence consumers. In addition to overseeing GTB's business in Mexico and Canada. Smith leads a multi-faceted agency team that partners closely with Ford Motor Company's nearly 3,100 U.S independent dealers.
"Beau's poised for success in this role. His deep experience, his drive, and his commitment to our dealer partners and clients make him a clear choice to lead GTB into the future," said Robert Guay, WPP's global client lead on the Ford business.
Prior to this role, Smith served as GTB's EVP. Managing Director Retail, supporting Ford's national network of U.S. dealers. Before that, he was the owner operator at Epsilon overseeing Ford Retail and, from 2012 to 2014, served as the Chairman of the Ford National Dealer Council.
"Our agency's difference is creating ideas that inspire consumers to act," said Smith. "Increasingly, GTB delivers on the promise with greater audience precision and with better outcomes. My focus is to continue the progress made under David Murphy's leadership and to help brands transform at retail so they can win the future."
Smith's role is effective immediately.
